Restaurant Zum Lowen in Ediger-Eller

We were there with a group of motorcyclists for 4 days in early September. I was actually very satisfied with the room and the food. BUT: It does seem irritating when the boss comes shortly before 10 p.m. on a lukewarm evening and tells you that the terrace will now be closed and that you should go to the room. Which entrepreneur actively sends away paying customers? Anyway: I won't go there anymore.

Cake and coffee / cocoa was delicious

I wanted to have a bite to eat and drink at lunchtime, as the weather wasn't so good, I asked if I could sit inside with a dog, the woman told me that there was not enough space inside because of Corona and it wouldn't work with a dog anyway, she asked what the dog would have to do with Corona? In response I heard: either I accept that or I should go, I find this statement outrageous

Dear Manuela, Dear Kurt, we were guests with our motorcycle group for 3 days. Thanks to your warmth, we felt very comfortable. Very tasty food. But relatively expensive. And no typical rustic Moselle atmosphere

We were there by motorcycle, garage available. We felt very comfortable. Good breakfast, nice staff. The Saffenreuther couple run the hotel. He in the kitchen, you in the service. Mr. Saffenreuther does a good job in the kitchen! The prices on the menu seem high at first, but quality, taste and preparation sometimes have their price. We can only recommend the hotel.

Stayed 5 nights in the hotel with breakfast, the staff and all are polite, friendly and nice, at breakfast everything is available and very good and tasty, if something is asked for a short time and you get it, we had room 8 for 5 nights I think it's a bit small, I looked at room 9, it's a bit bigger and also newer, the room has a balcony facing the Moselle and that's great, spent nice evenings on the balcony, you can get something to drink downstairs in the restaurant and take with you Take balcony (wine, cake) I can't rate the restaurant as we weren't there for dinner, the cake and wine that we took to the room or to the balcony was very good, one apple Riesling and one plum streusel cake , because I did not give it 1 star because I am an absolute non-smoker and we sometimes smelled cigarettes in the stairwell, but very often in our bathroom, either from the terrace of the restaurant or from our room Nachba rn the smokers, the photos are taken from the balcony

Lovely hotel and extremely friendly staff and atmosphere.

Nice rooms .. Partly with a view of the Moselle ... we would book again ... but ... I would insist on getting a good night's sleep ... and not order any cheese cubes (which are charged at 20 euros) see photo 😡 But otherwise really great.

Thanks for the accommodation, which still worked after the booked hotel rented the apartment twice. Service and operation can only say Perfect!!! Breakfast very good! Recommend going for dinner here, very good and rich dishes. Service very friendly and competent.

Were there as a patrol to drink a glass of wine. When we asked the waitress if we could try a regional wine, she was very rude and wanted us from our table on the terrace in the farthest corner, as they supposedly the other tables for guests who also want to eat (on the Terrace sat a maximum of 6 other guests, so it was still more than enough space). A real impudence, something you do not have to offer. Incredible! Never again!!

This restaurant is more than Fabulous. Starting with the location on the Mosel River, the hitel looked beautiful inside.We sat outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day. Since it was too late for breakfast and too early for dinner, we decided on apple cake which the chef/owner told us was a special recipe by him. It was fresh apples, with reisling wine, a heavenly crust that was light and melt in your mouth and fresh whipped cream on top, with milchkaffe (milk coffee)..what a wonderful find on our ride down the Mosel...will be back again.

Only had an ice cream. That was good. Service was very friendly too.
